Conflict Minerals Commitment
The use of metals sourced from conflict minerals indirectly contributes to the profits of armed groups through the abuse of local populations. The United States Congress identified the potential link between corporate profits and funding of violence, which has influenced investor decisions regarding purchasing and investment. Consequently, requirements were established to prohibit the use of conflict minerals.
